AMF Billiards AMF Billiards & Games has its roots in many places. Master cabinetmaker Charles A. Porter, “Cap”, turned his woodworking skills to billiards in the late 1950s, and would go on to form the prestigious Renaissance Company, which still crafts the finest and most expensive pool tables in the world. In the 1970s a small billiard company began in central Missouri that would become known as PlayMaster, merging with the Renaissance Company in Bland, Missouri.
